Commander Ricardo Telles, one of the negotiators, emphasized the group's commitment to achieving a ceasefire and continuing dialogue. Telles criticized former President Álvaro Uribe and urged US President Barack Obama to reduce military aid to Colombia. He also requested the inclusion of imprisoned guerrilla Simón Trinidad in the talks. The peace negotiations are scheduled to begin on October 8 in Oslo.
