The French police conducted a raid on Lactalis, a leading dairy group, due to salmonella contamination in infant milk powder. The government ordered a recall of products from a specific factory, but some distributors continued selling them. This led to 37 cases of salmonellosis in infants. A preliminary legal investigation was initiated at the end of 2017.
