A Moscow court sentenced seven activists to up to four years in prison for participating in a protest against President Putin's inauguration in 2012. Over 200 people were arrested in the courtroom for attempting to disrupt public order. Many gathered outside to support the activists, arguing that the sentences were politically motivated. The court delayed the sentencing to avoid publicity during the Sochi Winter Olympics closing ceremony.
