VOICED : Oposicion venezolana anuncia plebiscito sobre Constituyente

The Venezuelan opposition announced a plebiscite on July 16 for citizens to decide on President Nicolás Maduro's call for a Constituent Assembly. The public will also decide on the roles of public officials and the armed forces in restoring constitutional order, and whether to renew public powers and form a national unity government. The Parliament will officially call for the consultation, despite the electoral power's absence. María Corina Machado stated that 1,600 voting sites will be set up in Venezuela and 108 abroad.
