Former New York Officer's Pension Reinstated

In 2006, Cariol Horne, a Black police officer, intervened when a white officer had a Black man in a chokehold, responding to the man's cries that he couldn't breathe. Horne was punched by her colleague and later fired. Recently, a judge reinstated her pension, back pay, and benefits from 2010.
