On July 26, 1952, Argentina was shocked by a tragic event. A large pilgrimage of 700,000 faithful traveled to Buenos Aires, where a crash resulted in 16 deaths and 4,000 injuries. Special food kitchens were established to support the masses attending the memorial services.
