A Taliban group attacked a luxury hotel in Kabul, resulting in six deaths. The attackers used an explosion to enter and took hostages. After 12 hours, Afghan special forces neutralized the attackers and rescued 126 hostages, including 41 foreigners. The hotel, often used for events, had recently changed its security provider.
