Meanwhile, Universal Films and AMC Theatres have agreed to shorten the release window for new films to 17 days before they are available on premium on-demand platforms, a significant reduction from the typical 75-day window. AMC expects to gain additional revenue through streaming on its own platform, AMC Theatres on Demand.
