Archdiocese of Los Angeles agrees to pay $880 million to victims of clergy sexual abuse

The Archdiocese of Los Angeles has agreed to an $880 million settlement for sexual abuse claims dating back to the 1940s. This settlement, enabled by a California law lifting statutes of limitations, covers over 1300 claims. Despite ongoing claims, the church is implementing training to prevent future abuse.
