United Airlines Plans To Cut Thousands Of Pilots

United Airlines plans to furlough up to 2,850 pilots, which is 21% of its total pilots, after government aid ends in September. The airline industry is urging Congress to include them in the next coronavirus relief bill, but discussions have stalled. Delta and American Airlines are also planning pilot cuts, but fewer than 2,000 each.
