VOICED : Francesa Total abre primera de 250 gasolineras en Mexico

Total, a French company, has opened its first of 250 gas stations in Mexico, joining other foreign giants in the newly liberalized fuel market. These stations, located in central Mexico, were acquired from Pemex, which previously held a monopoly. The market now features increased brand diversity, benefiting consumers. A 2013 constitutional reform opened the energy market, and since December, gasoline prices have been deregulated, fostering competition.
