VOICED : Cinco disidentes de las FARC abatidos en límites de Colombia y Ecuador

In a clash with Colombian military forces, five FARC dissidents were killed and ten captured near the Iscuandé River in Nariño, close to the Ecuadorian border. The military discovered boats carrying cocaine and firearms. Eight minors recruited by the rebels were recovered. FARC dissidents, numbering around 5,200, did not join the 2017 peace agreement and are funded by drug trafficking and illegal mining. The Colombian government is pursuing peace talks with criminal groups, but President Gustavo Petro insists military pressure will continue until negotiations are possible.
