A 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck Guatemala and southern Mexico, resulting in at least five deaths and 16 injuries. The Guatemalan President, Jimmy Morales, reported widespread impact, with efforts underway to restore electricity and clear blocked roads. Over 50 landslides were recorded, affecting 330 people and damaging 55 homes. The earthquake's epicenter was located 156.4 km west of Guatemala City in San Marcos. Mexican authorities reported 11 medical assistances, 20 damaged homes, and five affected schools.
