Los Angeles Says It Won't Charge Protesters For Breaking Curfew

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office announced it will not charge protesters arrested during demonstrations against George Floyd's death. Despite having the highest number of protest-related arrests in the U.S., the DA supports free speech and peaceful protests. As some protests turned violent, curfews were imposed, but many have since been lifted. The LA City Attorney plans to use a restorative justice approach for non-violent curfew violations.
