Tabaré Vázquez is the leading candidate in the Uruguayan presidential elections with 47% of the votes. He will face Luis Lacalle Pou in a runoff on November 30. The left-wing coalition, Frente Amplio, has secured a majority in Parliament, enabling them to pass significant reforms over the past decade.
