VOICED : FARC libera a soldado colombiano

The FARC released Colombian soldier Carlos Becerra Ojeda, who was detained on December 19. The liberation took place in Cauca, facilitated by the Red Cross and a humanitarian commission from Cuba and Norway. The operation was swift, and the soldier, despite combat wounds, was in good health. Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos praised the release as a positive step. Since the peace talks in Havana began, partial agreements have been reached on rural reform, political participation, and drug issues. FARC, founded in 1964, remains Colombia's main guerrilla group, with the conflict causing significant casualties and displacement over five decades.
