VOICED : Gaza sends lions to Jordan after war damages zoo

During the conflict between Hamas and Israel, a lioness was killed, and three other lions were traumatized. They were sedated and moved from Gaza to Jordan for recovery. The zoo in Gaza, built by Hamas in 2008, was heavily damaged, with over 80 animals killed. The lions, disoriented by airstrikes, became aggressive. They were eventually transferred to Jordan with special permission. Vets from Four Paws provided urgent medical care. The lions are now recovering in a peaceful environment in Jordan. Plans are underway to rebuild the lion enclosures in Gaza for their possible return.
