In a CBS 60 Minutes interview, the Saudi Crown Prince denied ordering Jamal Khashoggi's murder but accepted responsibility as a leader. Khashoggi, a critic of Saudi leadership, was killed in 2018 at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Turkish investigators claimed a Saudi hit squad was involved, but the body was never found. Saudi prosecutors charged 11 men, some close to the Crown Prince, but the government denied his involvement. The Crown Prince argued he couldn't know about every operation within the vast Saudi government. The CIA and UN found credible evidence suggesting high-level involvement but no direct link to the Crown Prince.
