Mary Seacole; her travels

The speaker recounts their experiences performing an autopsy on a child who died of Cholera, gaining valuable insights into the disease. They also established a restaurant called the British Hotel to serve travelers. Upon returning to Jamaica in 1850, they assisted during a yellow fever outbreak. Learning of the Crimean War, they traveled to England to volunteer as a nurse but faced rejection, ultimately deciding to go to Crimea at their own expense.
