VOICED : Venezolanos piden ayuda internacional por escasez de medicinas

A protest in Caracas demanded the Venezuelan government allow donated medicines into the country. Citizens, led by the Partido Primero Justicia, approached the apostolic nunciature to seek solutions for the severe medicine shortage, reported to be at 85% by the Federación Farmacéutica. The shortage of food and medicine is a key issue in the dialogue between the government and the Mesa de la Unidad Democrática, mediated by the Vatican and UNASUR, to resolve the political and economic crisis. The government denies a humanitarian crisis, claiming the opposition's argument is a pretext for US military intervention.
