The Neo-Babylonian Empire, also known as the Chaldean Empire, was the last of the Mesopotamian empires before the Islamic conquest. It was founded by migrating tribes from the Arabian Peninsula and reached its peak under Nebuchadnezzar II, known for his military and administrative prowess.
