ACT To Allow Students To Retake Individual Sections

Starting September 2020, the ACT will offer new options: retaking individual sections, online testing at ACT centers, and a composite super score. Research indicates that scores from individual section retakes are consistent with full test scores. These changes aim to help students improve specific section scores without affecting their overall score. The cost for retaking sections will be lower than the full exam, and fee waivers will be available for low-income families.
