Britain's Fastest Rail Passenger Service Reduces London to Paris Journey Times

The Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL) connects France and the UK, reducing travel time by up to 20 minutes. Trains can reach speeds of 300 km/h, allowing travelers to reach Paris from London in just over 2.5 hours. The £5.2 billion project took five years to complete, with further improvements planned to cut travel time by an additional 15 minutes by 2007. Rail travel is now a strong competitor to airlines on the London-Paris route.
