Forests are vital ecosystems that cover land with trees and other vegetation, providing oxygen, clean water, and habitats for animals. There are three main types of forests: coniferous, deciduous, and tropical rainforests, each with unique characteristics and locations. Coniferous forests are found in cold regions, deciduous forests in areas with four seasons, and tropical rainforests near the equator. Deforestation, the cutting down of forests, poses a significant threat to these ecosystems, affecting both animals and humans.
