Former Nissan Chairman Carlos Ghosn Has Fled To Lebanon

Carlos Goan, facing charges of financial misconduct in Japan, has fled to Lebanon, claiming he escaped injustice and political persecution. Despite a travel ban and passport confiscation, Goan managed to leave Japan, where he was under surveillance. He was initially arrested in 2018 for underreporting income and has denied all charges. Lebanon, where Goan has roots, does not have an extradition agreement with Japan.
