School experiment with earthworms in contention to be tested on Space Shuttle

Hayes School in Kent plans to send earthworms to space using a specially designed wormery. The project aims to study worm movements in space and their role in supporting plant growth by breaking down soil and organic matter. The initiative is part of a national competition among schools, with the winning project to be launched on March 13th.
