The A1 Grand Prix: Unveiling the World Cup of Motorsport

The A1 Grand Prix, conceived by Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum, is a new motorsport event where countries compete in identical cars built by Lola International. Scheduled from November to February, it offers a platform for drivers to showcase their skills without engine modifications. The FIA has approved the event, with 23 countries interested in participating. The inaugural race will be in Dubai in September 2005, followed by events in the Gulf, China, South Africa, Malaysia, and Australia.
