VOICED : Guerrilla del ELN anuncia alto al fuego temporal en Colombia por pandemia

The ELN, Colombia's last recognized guerrilla group, announced a unilateral ceasefire from April 1 to 30, 2020, as a humanitarian gesture during the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision aligns with the UN's call for global ceasefires and requests from Colombian social and political organizations. However, the ELN reserves the right to defend itself against state forces and narcotrafficking groups. The ELN, established in 1964, has around 2,300 combatants and operates in 10% of Colombia's municipalities.
