Celebrated Tuskegee Airman Charles McGee Dies At 102

Brigadier General Charles McGee was a celebrated aviator and a member of the first unit of African American military pilots in the US Armed Forces. He completed 409 combat missions across World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. McGee received the Congressional Gold Medal in 2007 and was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame in 2011. He lived to be 102 years old, leaving a lasting legacy in aviation history.
