In Colombia, 55,000 wildlife specimens were seized from traffickers over two years. The illegal trade is rising, funding criminal groups. Fortunately, some animals received medical care and habitat simulation for ten months. Now, 149 animals, including reptiles, birds, and mammals, are being returned to the Amazon rainforest in Caquetá.
