Affidavit Says Texas Police Officer Shot Jonathan Price 4 Times

Officer Sean Lucas was charged with murdering Jonathan Pryce after shooting him four times. The incident occurred outside a convenience store in Wolfe City. Pryce, a 31-year-old Black man, was reportedly trying to break up a dispute when Lucas confronted him. Lucas believed Pryce was intoxicated and attempted to detain him, leading to the use of a Taser. Pryce was shot after allegedly reaching for the Taser and later died in the hospital. The event was captured on Lucas's body camera. Authorities deemed Lucas's actions unreasonable, resulting in his arrest with a $1,000,000 bail. A funeral for Pryce is scheduled, and an autopsy report is pending.
