Science in the Antarctic: The Innovative Halley Station

The British Antarctic Survey conducts groundbreaking research in Antarctica, where the ozone layer hole was discovered. The Halley Station, located on a moving ice shelf, is being redesigned to be movable. The new base can be assembled quickly and relocated to prevent ice breakage. It supports 52 scientists in summer and 16 in winter, and can be disassembled without environmental impact.
