Miss Universe Paulina Vega visited Bogotá to start her agenda, including meeting President Juan Manuel Santos and attending social events. During a press conference, she addressed an invitation from FARC to meet in Havana, where peace talks have been ongoing since 2012. Vega, who does not consider herself perfect, declined the invitation and plans to tour Colombia, celebrating her Miss Universe title.
