George initially aspired to be a sailor, dismissing the idea of becoming king, as his brother Albert was expected to take the throne. However, when his naval career was unexpectedly halted, George ascended to the British monarchy. Despite the abrupt change in his career path, he managed the responsibilities of his new role with great competence, earning the admiration and pride of his subjects.
