VOICED : Opositor venezolano Ledezma pide asilo politico en Espana

Antonio Ledezma, former mayor of Caracas and a key opposition figure in Venezuela, sought political asylum in Spain after escaping house arrest. He arrived in Spain on November 18, where he was received by Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy. Ledezma, accused by the Venezuelan government of conspiracy, was previously detained and placed under house arrest due to health issues. The Venezuelan government, led by Nicolás Maduro, has requested that Spain not return Ledezma.
