Renata Flores, a 14-year-old from Ayacucho, became a sensation by singing a Michael Jackson song in Quechua, garnering over a million views online. Her mother, Patricia, initiated this project to revalue the Quechua language, which faces discrimination and potential extinction despite being an official language in Peru. The project aims to instill pride in young people to speak Quechua, highlighting its cultural significance and humor. Over three million Peruvians still speak Quechua, mainly in the Andes, but educators warn of its declining use.
