VOICED : Herencia de la guerra fria

Firefighters from Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Guatemala, Belize, and El Salvador participate in special training at the US base in Palmerola, Honduras. They simulate rescue operations in aircraft and houses. Originally built during the Cold War for strategic purposes, the base now focuses on drug trafficking repression and disaster aid. Around 500 personnel rotate every six months. The base, once a Cold War stronghold, is still viewed critically by those opposing US military presence in the region.
