Lymph nodes are numerous throughout the body, varying in size from tiny to bean-sized. They are found in clusters in areas such as the neck, armpits, groin, and around the intestines. Lymph nodes function as filters, trapping and removing harmful substances from lymph fluid before it returns to the bloodstream.
