After attending a collective hypnosis show, Gignac had his first session with Milton. The hypnosis aimed to clear mental blocks and refocus Gignac's abilities. At the time, Gignac had gone 764 minutes without scoring, with his last goal being a penalty in September. Many were surprised by the results of the hypnosis. In the quarterfinals, Gignac ended his drought, scoring in the semifinals and leading Tigres to the finals against América, with the support of the 'knight of hypnosis'.
