On the battlefield, they face paramilitary forces supporting President Hadi, who fled Aden due to the Houthi advance. Russia urged the UN to stop the Arab coalition's bombings in Yemen, citing a humanitarian crisis, but Saudi Arabia's stance remains unclear. The conflict in Aden has resulted in numerous casualties, mostly civilians. In response to the growing insecurity, Jordan and Egypt have evacuated their citizens.
