Rubén Oseguera González, son of the Jalisco Nueva Generación cartel leader, was captured in Jalisco after undergoing plastic surgery. He holds dual nationality from the US and Mexico and is the second in command of the cartel. His arrest is a significant blow to the organization led by his father, Nemesio Oseguera, known as Mencho. This is his second arrest. The Jalisco cartel, which split from the Sinaloa cartel, has become one of the most powerful and violent in Mexico.
