VOICED : Segunda vacuna anticovid pasa a fase final de ensayos en Cuba

Cuba is advancing with two COVID-19 vaccines, Avdala and Soberana 2, both entering phase 3 clinical trials. Avdala will be tested on 48,000 volunteers in Santiago de Cuba, Guantánamo, and Bayamo, while Soberana 2 is already in trials in La Habana with 44,000 volunteers. Cuban scientists are also working on two other vaccine candidates, all using protein recombinant technology similar to Novavax. If successful, these vaccines would be the first COVID-19 vaccines developed and produced in Latin America.
