Severe floods and landslides in Indonesia and Timor resulted in numerous fatalities. The island of Flores experienced chaos due to heavy rains just before Easter, leading to destruction of homes and infrastructure. In Bima, floods submerged thousands of homes after prolonged rainfall. Such natural disasters are common in Indonesia, especially during the rainy season.
