VOICED : Venezuela convoca elecciones regionales para el 21 de noviembre entre llamados al diálogo

The Venezuelan National Electoral Council has set regional elections for November 21, where governors and mayors will be elected. The electoral schedule was unanimously approved. These elections follow the 2020 legislative and 2018 presidential elections, both boycotted by the opposition. Opposition leader Juan Guaidó, recognized by over 50 countries as interim president, has proposed negotiations with international observation, seeking new presidential and parliamentary elections in exchange for lifting sanctions. President Maduro is open to dialogue with the EU and Norway's mediation.
