Madam C.J. Walker: From Laundress to Millionaire

Madam CJ Walker, born Sarah Breedlove, overcame poverty and limited education to become the first black female self-made millionaire in America. She started her career using hair care products from Annie Malone and later developed her own line, leading to a successful business. Walker's company trained thousands of women and expanded internationally. Despite rivalry with Malone, Walker's business thrived. She was also a philanthropist, supporting causes for black people and women. Walker's legacy is one of empowerment and entrepreneurship.
