VOICED : Exdictador Bignone condenado

Ex-dictator Reinaldo Viñone and four other former Argentine military officials were sentenced to life imprisonment for crimes against humanity. These crimes occurred between 1976 and 1983 at Campo de Mayo, a major extermination center near Buenos Aires. Viñone, the last dictator of a regime responsible for 30,000 disappearances, was 85 years old at the time of sentencing. Campo de Mayo housed a clandestine maternity ward where imprisoned women gave birth, only to have their babies taken away and given to families connected to the military or security forces. Many of these mothers remain missing.
