The Australian Olympic Committee confirmed that three athletes are in isolation after contact with Sam Kendricks, who tested positive for COVID-19. Despite the isolation, the athletes tested negative and can compete. The risk is considered low to moderate due to outdoor contact and mask usage. All involved are vaccinated. Separately, Aaron Baines is out of the Olympics due to a neck injury from a fall.
