European countries are reopening their borders to residents of 15 nations starting July 1, including Canada and Uruguay. Other countries like Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, and China are also included, with China's inclusion pending reciprocity. The list of countries will be updated bi-weekly based on the COVID-19 situation. The U.S. and Russia are currently excluded. European citizens and certain professionals can still enter the EU. The decision is a non-binding recommendation for EU and Schengen countries. Greece has already allowed tourists from some countries to boost its tourism sector.
