VOICED : Enviado del Vaticano sobre abusos cierra su mision en Chile

The Vatican's envoy, Archbishop Charles Chicluna, concluded his visit to Chile, where he investigated sexual abuse allegations against Bishop Juan Barros, accused of covering up for priest Fernando Caradima. Caradima was sentenced by the Vatican in 2011 to a life of prayer and penance after Chilean justice declared the charges expired. Chicluna's mission was marked by an emergency gallbladder surgery. He also met with victims of abuse in Marist schools in Santiago, where allegations against a congregation member led to legal action.
