TED-Ed: The tale of the boy who tricked the Devil | Iseult Gillespie

A child with a lucky birthmark is prophesied to marry a princess, but a wicked king tries to eliminate him. The child survives and grows up, unknowingly carrying a death sentence from the king. He falls in love with the princess, but the king sets a deadly task for him: to retrieve three golden hairs from the Devil. The youth embarks on a quest, solving villagers' problems along the way. With the help of the Devil's grandmother, he succeeds and returns, tricking the king into taking the ferryman's place. The youth marries the princess, and the king is left to his fate.
